The Mission of the Education and Training Office is providing specialized Training and Education to improve job performance and readiness capabilities. The vision is to develop a learning environment which promotes education and training as a strategic tool for operational excellence.

Community College of the Air Force (CCAF)

  • Offers and awards directly related to AFSC Associates of Applied Science degree
  • Provides the avenue for job-related training to transfer into college credits
  • Most previously earned college credits are transferable to CCAF
  • Credits are transferable to Bachelor degrees

Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) Program IAW AFI 36-2649

Tuition pays:

  • Up to $250.00 per Semester Hour
  • Up to $166.66 per Quarter Hour
  • Up to $750.00 per course
  • $4,500.00 per Fiscal Year (1 Oct. - 30 Sep.)

Up to $750.00 per course
Fees and books are not included in MilTA.

Institutions must have signed the DoD MOU in order to use the MilTA program.

All MilTA requests must be input online into Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC) between 45-7 days prior to class start dates using registration information.

How to Apply for TA

Step 1. Login to the AF Portal (

Step 2.
Under Education/Training/Force Development Click on "AFVEC (Air Force Virtual Education Center)"

Step 3.
Under Self Service Click on "START FUNDING REQUEST" and follow directions. Once your TA has been created, supervisor has to concur on the TA for approval

Step 4.
Go back to your AFVEC account, under My Education Record Click on "Enrollments"

Step 5. Print or save the TA and follow your school's instructions for processing
